Who We Are
Dogvocates is a health advocacy service on a mission to bring the veterinary community together to support the wellbeing of pet parents & their beloved pets with cancer.
While the journey of caregiving is one of many highs & lows, we believe fur babies have the greatest chance of survival when their pet parents have a support system in place to complement veterinary care.
What We Do

While veterinarians are busy saving lives and administering medical care, Dogvocates helps ease stress, anxiety and fear by “filling the void” in between vet appointments.

Our Story
Dogvocates was founded by two friends fatefully brought together by various cancer experiences in beloved pets. Their backgrounds in animal advocacy and veterinary care inspired them to create Dogvocates; a 24/7 service that helps guide pet parents through the emotional journey of caring for a pet with cancer.
In 2014, Lana's dog Callie was diagnosed with metastatic anal gland adenocarcinoma. For over one year, Callie's chemotherapy treatments were administered by Spike, a registered veterinary technician who always displayed a genuine compassion for Callie. Naturally, the experience sparked an instant friendship between the two, and when a second cancer diagnosis turned Lana's life upside down with her dog, Lila, she immediately contacted Spike; her constant source of support and someone she fully entrusted with her fur babies.
The company is on a mission to bring the veterinary community together to save lives, spread compassion and support others experiencing the hardships caused by cancer.
